New York

New York state has proven to be beautiful and friendly so far. The hills are scattered with farmland and deciduous trees that are about to shed their leaves. This afternoon we will leave the shores of Lake Ontario and head towards the Adirondack mountains.

The other night we had a record eight flat tires between the four of us. Then the bridge over the bay was closed so we were on the road late through Rochester, NY. Luckily, we stumbled across the 'Boulevard Grille' at around midnight and the owner Robbie made us feel at home. This was an Italian neighborhood and it was instantly apparent we had reached the east. Thanks for the wings and the hospitality -

Trivia Question:

Partners MS Center is currently working on the CLIMB study. What does C.L.I.M.B. stand for?

OK, folks, this is Karl's mom signing in - and it hasn't been easy.

It's time to get serious about raising money for MS research.

I have a VERY CUTE picture of Karl as a tiny tot that I will send to the person who donates the most money between now ( Oct. 4, 5:35 PM PST)and the end of the ride.

Make a donation by clicking n "DONATE NOW" on the website and note i "Comments" that you're in the picture contest. If someone tops your dnation you may donate agan and noe in "Comments' your TOTAL "picture" donation. Minimum donation is $5.00 and additonal donatins must be at least $5.00. You may donate as many times as you wish in an attempt to be the highest donater (is that a word?). Whether you win or not, when you've made a donation it's made and is not refundable.

When the guys officialy declare the ride completed I will tally all "picture" donations and send the winner the photo. Ties will be broken by accepting additional donations until there is only one winner. The judge's decision is final.

Who'll be first?

Webisode 7 is great! Not sure why more people aren't watching. There have been a few technical difficulties meaning the video hesitates and/or stops sometimes. All your webisodes are so superior to any TV reality show I've seen. Thanks for the entertainment.

Hey,

Climb stands for:Comprehensive Longitudinal Investigation of Multiple Sclerosis at Brigham and Woman's Hospital.

Sorry to hear of your flat tire troubles, keep your spirits up. I bet all the colors around you are amazing,..October is lovely. The pictures are wonderful, and we are watching the videos. Tia, Tori and I have decided Webisode 3 is our favorite. Especially the part where Karl is picking his nose - priceless! That is worth a donation all by itself. They are quite entertaining and very creative - keep them coming. We have all been enjoying them.

Karl, just to let you know - I had NOTHING to do with your mom's latest crusade. I knew NOTHING about it. OK? Hurry home.
